About Dee

Started as a “girl friday” in construction in California after receiving my associates degree in Business and Accounting. I went on to become the office manager 3 years later moved to Arizona where I continued in the construction industry for almost 25 years. Beginning with an entry level position and ending with CFO assistant; Office Manager; Staff Accountant.

After meeting my husband in 2006 we decided that I would branch out on my own and help the small contractor that can do the physical work of the trade but didn’t know the business side of running and having a small business. Since then, I have increased my knowledge, experience and client base to over 60 clients strictly by word of mouth, networking, referrals and personal relationships.

I work exclusively with Quickbooks - both online and desktop. I am a certified Quickbooks Pro Advisor and my team are also pro advisors. Although I do not do tax returns, I have resources at my disposal for questions about taxes that I am unable to answer. If I don’t know the answer - I’ll get it for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What’s the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?

Bookkeeping focuses on recording daily financial transactions, while accounting interprets, analyzes, and reports financial data for decision-making.

  • Do I really need a bookkeeper if I already have accounting software?

Yes. Software records numbers, but a bookkeeper ensures accuracy, categorization, and compliance—preventing costly mistakes.

  • When should a business hire a bookkeeper or accountant?

You should consider hiring one as soon as money starts moving in and out regularly, especially if tracking it feels overwhelming. A bookkeeper helps you stay organized, save time, and be prepared for growth and tax season.

  • How often should bookkeeping be done?

Ideally, monthly to keep cash flow, expenses, and profit insights up to date.

  • What exactly will you handle for my business?

Examples: recording transactions, reconciling accounts, tracking expenses, invoicing, payroll, financial reports, and tax preparation.
